All About ArtWalk

ArtWalk is a free, family-oriented, self-guided walking tour of over 60 participating artists, vendors, and live entertainment acts, held bi-annually in the Cultural Arts District in downtown Alexandria. Sidewalks, green spaces, and the alleys come alive as local artists demonstrate and sell their works of art. All original artwork sold within the Cultural Arts District is tax-free. ArtWalk is currently scheduled for Friday October 5, 2012.

Coughlin-Saunders Performing Arts Center

The Coughlin-Saunders Performing Arts Center is owned by the City of Alexandria Louisiana and operated under contract by the Arts Council of Central Louisiana. The Coughlin-Saunders Performing Arts Center is a 615 seat state of the art theater that opened August 27, 2004 in downtown Alexandria, Louisiana. The Performing Arts Center is a venue for everyone including performing artists and companies, presenters, businesses, schools, and churches. In addition to renting the entire theater, you can rent the lobby for receptions. For more information, to arrange for a tour, or to book the Coughlin-Saunders Performing Arts Center, call Matt Henry at (318) 484-4486 Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 5:00. Hearn Stage Kress Theatre

The Hearn Stage is a muti-use Black Box Theater. It can be used for meetings, special events and receptions, as well as for rehearsal space and full theatrical productions. The seating in the theater can be interchangeable to meet your needs. If you have any questions or if you want a tour of the facility, please give us a call Matt Henry at (318) 484-4486.

Frye Nonprofit Development Center

Centrally located in downtown Alexandria, the Frye Nonprofit Development Center meeting and rehearsal rooms are located on second floor of the Rapides Foundation Building at 1101 4th Street. Three different classrooms are available for rent. Available classrooms can seat an average of 100-200 people. Available for daily, half-day, and hourly rates. We provide very reasonable prices for both nonprofit and for profit groups. Tables and chairs are available.
