The Muse at Tamp & Grind's Pumpkin Patch

Tamp & Grind Coffee Shop has reached out and asked the Muse to help them with their annual Pumpkin Patch event! Pumpkins will be available at Tamp to paint throughout the month but The Muse will be helping on October the 13 from 1-3 pm. Please register by October 12, if you'd like to help. Join AMoA for the fourth year of the Fall Illuminate the Arts procession. During the 2018 Fall Art Walk, on Friday, October 19,  The Alexandria Museum of Art will once again be lighting up the streets with the Illuminate the Arts Procession at 7:30 pm. The community is welcomed to walk in the procession with a luminary! Come for line-up (6:45pm) with your luminary. If you don't have one, we will find you something to carry! The second Cavanaugh Lecture series event will feature Rafael Romero whose lecture, “Nothing is Normal in Nicaragua,” will address the current political situation in his native country. Romero is an Instructor of Business at LSUA and will speak on Tuesday, October 16 at the Alexandria Museum of Art from 5:30-7:00. Romero attended law school in Nicaragua, worked for the Trade Department on WTO issues, and then served on the Presidential Commission for Competitiveness. He is the winner of a Fullbright scholarship and has earned Master’s degrees in Latin American Studies and International Law from Vanderbilt University. He resides in Alexandria ... read more
