Event Category:
Start Date:
February 09, 2017
End Date:
February 19, 2017
Hearn Stage, Kress Theatre
Thursday - Saturday: 7:30PM Sunday: 2:30PM
Join City Park Players for Laundry and Bourbon & Lone Star, both by James McClure. These two plays  will be performed Thursdays through Sundays from February 9th to 12th and 16th to 19th at the Hearn Stage at the Kress Theatre.  Thursday through Saturday performances begin at 7:30 PM, and Sunday matinees begin at 2:30 PM.

Laundry and Bourbon was conceived as a companion piece to precede Lone Star. Here the action centers on the discontent and very funny gossip of three small-town wives whose marriages have turned out to be less than was hoped for.

Presented initially by the Actors Theatre of Louisville and then produced successfully on Broadway, Lone Star is a hilarious study of a pair of Texas “good ole boys” on a Saturday night carouse which introduced an exciting new playwright of major potential.
