Celebrate with AMoA on Saturday, October 14th at 10:30 AM as they open their first permanent collection gallery in their 40 year history! This exhibition will spotlight the development of Louisiana art in the state through connections between artists and educators. Beginning with Ellsworth and William Woodward this web of connectivity between artists in the state reaches to the present day, and will spotlight the development of Louisiana art in the state through connections between artists and educators. This opening ceremony is free and open to the public. After a brief ceremony, AMoA will show their newest video short on the Collection, offer a tour of the exhibition, then have a Coffee and Donuts reception in the cafe! You can also enjoy free admission to the Museum all day!
