The St. James Concert Series season continues with an organ concert presented by Mr. Simon Johnson, organist and assistant director of music at London’s famed St. Paul’s Cathedral. Mr. Johnson’s program repertoire will include works by Bach, Franck, Stanford, Elgar and will culminate with the royal Orb and Sceptre Coronation March composed by William Walton for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth in 1953. With these masterworks, Simon will explore the full range of colors that the St. James pipe organ possesses. The concert is free admission and open to the public. There will be a reception in the Parish Hall immediately following the conclusion of the concert. For more information or questions, please telephone the Church office at 318.445.9845.
