 Join us for our popular museum tour series featuring an unorthodox approach visiting an art museum! 

September's tour is guided by Actor and Drama Teacher Kody Walker. 

After spending the last 10 years acting and working in theatre across the United States, Kody Walker returned to his home in Central Louisiana 2 years ago from Chicago. He has recently started teaching at Alexandria Country Day School as their Drama Teacher. 

You might have seen Kody in some local theatre productions such as Wizard of Oz (Tin Man), The Mousetrap (Giles), and Peter Pan (Capt. Hook) with Lagniappe Theatre Company. For the last 3 years Kody served as the Associate Artistic Director at Lagniappe Theatre Company. 

He has recently founded Play On Theatre Company which will be based out of Avoyelles Parish. Kody attended Oklahoma City University for his Bachelors of Fine Arts in Acting.

His professional and local credits also include: Assistant Direction of Pericles and A Midsummer Night's Dream at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre. Direction Mary Poppins Jr. at the Fox Theatre, My Son Pinocchio at Our Lady of Prompt Succor and, The Exonerated at Lagniappe Theatre Company. Some of his favorite professional acting credits include: Macbeth (Lennox-Angus) at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre and Hamlet (Marcellus), A Midsummer Night’s Dream(Oberon) at Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival, Henry V (Dauphine, Fluellen) and the Recruiting Officer (Brazen) with Montana Shakespeare in the Parks, Explorers Club (Percy) at Windy City Playhouse, A Christmas Carol (Marley) at The Palace Theatre, Last Night of Ballyhoo (Joe Farkas) at Oklahoma City Repertory, and Pride and Prejudice (Darcy) at Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Parks. 

So come downtown for an evening out at the Museum for this one-of-a-kind tour, and see how fun art museums can be! You might just like it!
